Dr. ِAbdalla Mohamed AlAmiri received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University, USA in June 1998. He has worked as an assistant professor then associate professor in Mechanical Engineering dept at UAE University between 1998-2005. He was seconded to Dubai Petroleum Company in 2005 for a year and half as an Engineering Operations Supervisor.

Bader Al Lamki, holding a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from the UAE University, is recognized as a seasoned professional with nearly one & half decade diversified & extensive experience in the oil & gas industry and presently in the Renewables & Environment industry.

Dr. Mohamed Al Marzouqi obtained his PhD in chemical engineering from Oregon State University, USA. His specialization is in the area of gas processing and membrane gas separation. Dr. Al Marzouqi, an associate professor in Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Department at the UAE University, has several years of experience in separation processes mainly CO₂ capture from gas mixtures using different types of membranes.

Mr. Thani Al-Zeyoudi is the Department Head of the International Renewable Energy Agency "IRENA" within the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs – The Directorate of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) on secondment basis. Thani is also the Focal Point of the UAE on issues related to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

Dr Olaf Goebel is a Head of Engineering in Masdar Power, at the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC). He is in charge of al technological and techno-economic aspects of Masdar Power's renewable energy projects. Prior to joining Masdar Dr Goebel was Head of Department, Renewable Energies, at Laymeyer International, a leading international consultant.

Abdulla Ismail obtained his B.Sc. (’80), M.Sc. (’83), and Ph.D. (’86) degrees, all in electrical engineering, from the University of Arizona, U.S.A. Currently, he a full professor of Electrical Engineering at the UAE University, Alain, UAE. He worked as a Corporate Manager of Education at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, UAE and a Senior Executive Advisor of Emirates Foundation Science,UAE Technology and Environment Program. He spent 24 years as Professor of Electrical Engineering at UAE University, AL-Ain, UAE.

Isam Janajreh received his Ph.D. and Masters degrees from Virginia Tech in Engineering Science and Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. His focus was on solid-fluid interactions, turbulence modeling and mixing, and thermomechanical coupling.

Dr. Sgouris Sgouridis is an Assistant Professor in Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.His current research and teaching interests include sustainable transportation systems, sustainable energy systems, sustainable energy, and management for engineers.

Mohamed Asaad Taher is a Fellow at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. He is currently a final year PhD student at Imperial College London working in Prof. Nigel Brandon’s Fuel Cell Research Group as part of the Energy Futures Lab. His research interests include sustainable energy systems modeling, optimization, and techno-economic evaluation, with emphasis on high temperature fuel cells for power production, and high temperature electrolyzers for hydrogen and syngas production. He has published a number of technical papers in reputable refereed journals and international conferences in these areas. Prior to his postgraduate studies, he worked at Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA), where he investigated several areas related to the energy and environmental sectors including alternative energy, electromagnetic fields, air quality modeling and environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies for power plants.

Galen Torneby joined Masdar: Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company in July 2008 as a Senior Project Manager. In 2009, he transferred to the Masdar Power Business Unit as Senior Project Delivery Manager.

Philip Moss is a global leader in the field of environmental finance, currently overseeing CDM investments and carbon portfolio management operations for Masdar Carbon and E.ON Masdar Integrated Carbon (EMIC).
