Zayed Future Energy Prize

No one can predict which energy innovation will change the world, or who that innovation will come from. As such, we believe that every idea deserves equal consideration, respect, and due diligence. In an effort to ensure that judging is fair and equal for all, we have developed a strict, detailed criteria and process for selecting the winners.

Every entry that we receive is reviewed by an external research and analysis firm, who will consult with the prize administration team to select the top candidates. Those candidates will then be culled by the Review Committee, from which the Selection Committee will choose the top entries to be presented to the jury as finalists.

Throughout the entire process, the review and selection committees will evaluate the entrants through a scoring matrix based on four criteria: impact, innovation, long-term vision, and leadership. This process allows the detailed analysis that is necessary to ensure that the eventual winner exemplifies our goal of bringing about the energy advancements we need.
