Zayed Future Energy Prize

The Zayed Future Energy Prize, which is managed by Masdar, is an annual prize to honour individuals, organisations and NGOs for excellence in the innovation, development and implementation of renewable and sustainable energy solutions.

For the past 3 years, the winner received  US$1.5million, and the global honour and recognition that came with winning the Zayed Future Energy Prize. The jury and prize administration team reserved the right to also reward US$350,000 to up to two additional finalists whose solutions warrant special recognition.

This year, we have doubled the value of the prize fund to US$4 million. The fund allocation per category is as follows:

• - SME & NGO
  • - Winner: US $1.5 million
  • - Runner-up 1: US $1 million
  • - Runner-up 2: US $500,000
• - Large Corporations: No monetary value (Recognition Award)
• - *Lifetime Achievement for an Individual: US $500,000
• - **High School (International): US $500,000

*Only candidates who have been nominated by a third party are eligible for this prize and self nominations will not be considered.
